Technology industry creates 3,000 new jobs in 2016

This year, the technology industry in Belgium will create 3,000 new jobs, which is twice as many as expected. Also in 2017, more new jobs will be created, says technology federation Agoria. “The government measures to rein in the costs of labour is paying off,” says Marc Lambotte, CEO of Agoria. “For the first time since 2008 our market shares are recovering within EU business and our export has hit a record level, showing that Belgian products and services are gradually becoming more competitive.”
